Engaging, alternative, and innovative Water Torah programs for school vacations.
College Immersive Experiences
Coral Restoration Classes
With I.CARE, students will learn about corals, their environment, human impacts, steps they can take to save these important ecosystems, visit coral nurseries, and practice outplanting corals on land.
Water Torah Education
Participants will learn about the Jewish connection to the Sea, Water, and the ancient texts that encourage us to be stewards of the marine environment today.
Mangrove Kayak Excursion
In the mangrove forests of the Florida Keys, students will paddle and navigate single and double kayaks, while learning about the important ecosystems, and the animals that call the ocean forests home.
Snorkeling
Non-divers are given the opportunity to see the coral reefs and marine animals while floating above. Led by a PADI Master Scuba Dvier Trainer, snorkelers are guided and educated about the marine environment.
Beach Cleanups
Inspired to take action by the Mitzvot Bal Tashchit, students clean local beaches as a Jewish act, and contribute to citizen science debris databases.
Scuba Diving
Non-certified divers can sign up to learn how to scuba dive from our PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Certified divers will be led on a recreational dive, coral outplanting dives, and a Dive Against Debris.
Sea Turtle Hospital
Visit a fully functioning veterinary hospital for sick and injured sea turtles. The Turtle Hospital rescues, rehabs, and releases sea turtles in the Florida Keys.
Water Meditation
Following education about the Shemah and the oneness of water, students are led in a floating or snorkel based meditation.
Dive Against Debris
Certified Divers use their skills to gain a specialty certification, and learn how to safely and successfully remove trash from marine environments.
